Welcome to the Blog!

We are excited to introduce Education for All Kenya's Kids, the new blog for Galilee Primary and Lorna Waddington High School in Nairobi, Kenya.  Director Fanuel Okwaro has been providing a quality education to poor children in the Kayole-Soweto Slums since 1997.  Since 2004, his efforts have been aided by the generous support of individuals from across the globe.  The gift of sponsorship has allowed the school to enable more children access to a quality education.  Today, these child sponsorships are administered in the United States by His Hands for Kenya, a section 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Sponsors of students at Galilee Primary and Waddington High School form close bonds with their sponsored children through the exchange of letters and pictures.  But, with the growing popularity of blogs, Director Okwaro saw an opportunity to share more about the latest happenings at the schools with a greater number of people.  Thus, this blog was born.  

It is our intention that this blog will serve as a way for Director Okwaro and the students to share news and information about the schools with the sponsorship community.  In addition, we plan to post updates and items of general interest to current and prospective sponsors.  

We will be sharing our first post on the schools soon, but for now, please have a look around the blog. The links at the top of the page contain general information on the history of the school, a school calendar, and a number of testimonials by students who were sponsored at Galilee or Lorna Waddington.  There is also information on how you can sponsor a child, as well as a link to a list of specific children in need.
